A few days before the Solutrans exhibition, the TRM24 editorial team offers you a special issue of the eMAG Transport dedicated to the 2025 edition. In the summary: innovations from manufacturers, bodybuilders, and equipment suppliers. Featuring an exclusive hands-on with the Hyundai XCIENT Fuel Cell.
Electric and Hydrogen in the Spotlight
While electrification will be a key focus for most manufacturers at this 2025 edition of Solutrans, hydrogen is making its mark with a significant number of fuel cell trucks. MAN, Hyundai, and Hyliko will present their vehicles. This will be the first time the South Korean manufacturer participates in the exhibition.
A Revelation
We had the opportunity to drive a client-owned Hyundai XCient Fuel Cell (Brétéché Group) on the roads of Vendée. This allowed us to understand its driving characteristics and the missions it can undertake. It’s also the first time a fuel cell model has been test-driven in France.
The Hyundai XCient Fuel Cell 6×2/4 is ideal for regional transport. This seems to be the precise use case envisioned by its user. The speed at which range can be regained, simply by refueling with hydrogen (compressed here at 350 bar), is a major advantage for the user.
